The academic program at St. Margaret Mary School follows the course of study prescribed by New York State and approved by the Archdiocese of New York. St. Margaret Mary is an Accredited School and the academic program is one of which we can be justifiably proud. In addition to the curriculum, homework, standardized tests, field trips and religious services are all part of the instructional program and are not optional. Graduation and promotion are contingent upon a student demonstrating mastery of the grade level course of studies. Progress Reports usually are distributed at least three times a year (October, January and March). Report Cards for Grades Pre-K to 8 are distributed four times a year (November, January, April, and June) so parents can be apprised of student progress. Report cards will be withheld if financial obligations have not been met and fees are outstanding. ALL TUITION AND FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. In addition to academic progress, the report card indicates a child's personal progress and character development. At St. Margaret Mary School, good conduct and effort are requirements to receive first or second honors. Therefore, a student must receive an A (Excellent) or B (Good) in both conduct and effort in order to be eligible for honors.
